PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face milling cutter and a removable tool, capable of easily performing the turning, attaching and detaching work for the face milling cutter by using one removable tool in attaching or detaching the face milling cutter and also of improving the work efficiency. SOLUTION: This face milling cutter has the base end removably fixed to an adaptor mounted on the machining tool spindle side and has a cutting blade tip 13 at the forward end. In the face milling cutter 11 relatively turned round the axis O of the adaptor to be attached and detached to and from the adaptor, the tip face is provided with a recessed part 14 with which the removable tool for turning the face milling cutter 11 is engaged.
