PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device capable of reducing the operating force of the transmission of a bicycle, capable of being used together with two or more sprockets, and capable of minimizing the number of continuously operating movable parts. SOLUTION: This auxiliary device using a force from a rotating body to assist in operating the transmission of the bicycle comprises an installation member; an input transmission member moved to a first input position, a second input position, and a third input position; an output transmission means moved to a first output position, a second output position, and a third output position corresponding to the input positions of the input transmission member; a rotating body engagement member moved between a rotating position engagement position and a rotating body non- engagement position; a motion transmission mechanism for transmitting a motion from the rotating body engagement member to the output transmission member; and a switching mechanism moving the rotating body engagement member to the rotating body non-engagement position when the input transmission member and the output transmission member are not positioned at corresponding positions and moving the rotating body engagement member to the rotating body non-engagement position when the input transmission member and the output transmission means are positioned at corresponding positions.
