PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle steering device capable of steering as a driver desires even by a small amount of steering operation and with a small gain. SOLUTION: This vehicle steering device S1, in which an operating mechanism and a steering mechanism are separated and a steered wheel is steered by electrically interlocking the operating mechanism with the steering mechanism, is characterized by comprising an operating device (a joy stick) 1 disposed near the driver's seat, an actuator (a steering motor) 5 for steering the steered wheels W, W of the vehicle, a rack position sensor 10 and a differentiator 521 for detecting the steering speeds of the steered wheels W, W, and a control means (a controller) 4 for controlling the actuator 5 so that the steering speeds of the steered wheels W, W may correspond to the amount of the operation of the operating device 1.
