PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging bag for a powder and granular substance which is improved in appearance and workability in casing. SOLUTION: The packaging bag 101 for a powder and granular substance comprises a packaging bag which is flat when folded, has an opening 10 on an upper part of a barrel 1 and includes a fastener 3 on the opening, and the bag 101 is formed with gussets only on a bottom 2 to allow the bag to support itself when the bag is of a three-dimensional form with contents put in. A barrel 1A is connected with the bottom 2 and narrows toward the opening 10 to provide the opening 10, wherein a lateral width (a) of the opening 10 is (a)=K(b-2c) (where K=0.8 to 2.0) when a lateral width of a square bottom B of the bottom 2 is (b-2c).
