PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the life of insulating performance of a boom by reducing the damage to the insulating film coated outside a nose boom in the boom equipped with sliders. SOLUTION: The boom 30 is composed of a base end boom 31, an intermediate boom 33 and a nose boom 35 which are telescopically combined and capable of expanding and contracting. The boom is also provided with sliders 41-59 for guiding and in slidingly contact with boom members disposed and moving on the inner surfaces of adjoining boom member 31b, 33b and on the other surfaces 33a, 35a of other boom members, and a reinforcing sheet member 65 surrounding the outer surface of the nose boom 35, and the insulating film 71 coated on the surface of the reinforcing sheet member 65. The reinforcing sheet member 65 forms a wrap part 67 in which one end part is superposed on the other end under the nose boom 35. The wrap part 67 extends in the extending direction of the nose boom 35 in a state of expanding outward in the middle of the outer surface 35a. The sliders 53 and 54 are disposed on the position in slidingly contact with the slide contact surface part 35b apart from the wrap part 67. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
