<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for controlling perfect printing having a large degree of freedom in perfect printing which uses a printer with a cyclic perfect printing mechanism by enabling printing when a paper size and the number of printing sheets are made different between front and rear faces of papers and eliminating the phenomenon that papers are kept staying in the printer. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a page buffer 115 for an amount of a plurality of pages, a plotting process part 1131 for carrying out a plotting process according to a printing command chain to the page buffer, and a printing process part 1132 for carrying out a printing process on the basis of contents of the page buffer plotted by the plotting process part. The plotting process part carries out the plotting process to the page buffer in the order of pages, and the printing process part carries out first half printing immediately in response to a start from the plotting process part if it is a page for the first half printing. If it is a page for second half printing, the printing process is brought into a second half printing standby state. The printing process in the second half printing standby state is cleared from the standby state in response to the detection of a preliminarily set clearing condition for the second half printing standby state to carry out printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
