The present invention relates to a method of identifying modulators of Borrelia telomere resolvase. The method involves incubating the Borreli a telomere resolvase enzyme, ResT, in the presence of a test substance and a telomere resolution substrate comprising a functional replicated telomere. Substances identified using the method of the invention may be potent inhibitors of Borrelia infection.
