<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical actuator which is inexpensive and is easy of assembly and besides can secure stable action. <P>SOLUTION: This spherical actuator is composed of a housing which is at least flexible, at least one piece of stator which is fixed to the housing, and a rotor which is a sphere being pressed against the stator and rotating around the axis of the stator by the very little vibration of the stator. The rotor is retained in condition that it is automatically adjusted so that the contact pressure between the above stator and the rotor may be maximum by the power of elasticity that the above flexible housing has. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
