<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image having good image glossiness, good low temperature fixability, a good fixing rate and excellent fold strength and to provide a method for producing the toner. <P>SOLUTION: In the toner for developing an electrostatic charge image, a binder resin contains 1.0-10 mass% polymerized component of a polymerizable monomer having a polar group and 0.1-10 mass% polymerized component of a polyfunctional polymerizable monomer, the toner does not contain a THF- insoluble component, and when the molecular weight distribution of the THF- soluble component of the toner is measured by GPC (gel permeation chromatography), the area of the resulting chromatographic curve in the molecular weight region of 60,000-1,000,000 is 0.5-20% and the THF-soluble component has a peak or a shoulder in the molecular weight region of 5,000-20,000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
