METHOD DETERMINING CONCENTRATION AND QUALITY OF DISTRIBUTION OF HIGHLY DISPERSED FILLING AGENTS IN POLYMER COMPOSITIONS

FIELD: measurement technology, establishment of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of polymer articles. SUBSTANCE: method determining concentration and quality of distribution of highly dispersed filling agents in polymer compositions includes formation of smooth surface of polymer composition and subsequent analysis of this surface by means of scanning sounding microscopy. At first stage smooth surface of polymer composition is formed mechanically with subsequent analysis of this surface by method of scanning sounding microscopy. There upon this surface is subjected to etching in low-temperature plasma, etching depth is measured by method of scanning sounding microscopy and this depth is brought to value not less than half anticipated diameter of largest particles. EFFECT: increased precision in determination of actual sizes of particles of filling agent and true concentration of filling agent in material of polymer. 1 dwg
