PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the additional recording of a disk identification signal by recording the signal on a reflective film. SOLUTION: In specifications, it is necessary that nine or more frames contain sub-codes of a mode 1 in any ten continuous frames (sub-code frames) on a disk. A UDI set consisting of n pieces of payload is used as a UDI data unit. In a UDI area, the payload is arranged at a position of a 20-frame interval, and the middle position of the recording position of the payload is set to be the area where the sub-code of a mode 2 or a mode 3 can be recorded. Nine frames in front of the recording position of a first payload and the area of nine frames after the last payload are areas in which the sub-code of the mode 1 is recorded. In the UDI area, an area other than the area for the payload and the sub-codes of the modes 2/3 is the recording area of the sub-code of the mode 1. A set of the UDI is recorded five-fold.
