The mechanism consists of a slow-speed reduction gear with two cams and a crown wheel (15) with internal teeth oscillating round a gear (4) with external teeth fixed to a low-speed shaft (1), and a primary reduction gear (30) preferably in the form of an endless screw. Two camshafts (9, 10) are synchronised with the cams (16, 17) by means of three toothed gears (26, 27, 28), two of which are fixed to the camshafts and the third (28) idles on the low-speed shaft (1). The primary reduction gear (30) is fixed to the cover (32) of the slow-speed reduction gear housing (7, 8), and its slow-speed shaft (33) is fitted with a pinion meshing with one of the synchronising gears.
