<p>The method of the invention relates to forming an aqueous cellulosic papermaking slurry, adding an effective amount of a hydrophilic dispersion polymer containing a colloidal silica or an inorganic flocculant to the slurry with adding microparticles, as for example bentonite, after a polymer is addedto the slurry. The hydrophilic dispersion polymer comprises i) colloidal silica or ii) inorganic flocculant.</p> |
