The proposed inlet structure is intended for pumping installations of covered or open design of one or more semiaxial-throughflow or axial-throughflow pumps with tubular casing arranged therein. The first impeller (2.1) is arranged at a lowest inflow point, for use in power plants and/or in water conservation plants, whereby the inlet nozzle of the pump being arranged in an inlet chamber (3) so as to maintain ground (9) clearance.
