INFRARED LIGHT RADIATION LAMP FOR VEHICLES

PURPOSE: To provide an infrared light radiation lamp which is not misidentified as a tail lamp or a stop lamp by irradiating through a front lens after attenuating a red light component of visible light which causes the lamp to look irradiating red light. CONSTITUTION: This infrared light radiation lamp comprises a lamp chamber S demarcated by a lamp body 12 and a front lens 14, a reflector 16 which is disposed inside the lamp body 12, a light source 20 which is installed in front of the reflector 16 in the lamp chamber S and a cylindrical infrared light generating globe 30 which is arranged so as to cover the light source 20 and shields visible light and transmits infrared light only. Diffusion steps 17, 15 are formed in an area 14a corresponding to the light source peripheral area 16a of the reflector 16 and/or the light source peripheral area 16a of the reflector in the front lens 14. A luminous flux of the red light component distributed in front is reduced and the red light radiation of the lamp is attenuated by letting diffusively reflecting (L21 and L22) red light component L2 of visible light which is guided to the peripheral area 16a of the reflector through the globe 30 or by letting diffusively emitting light from the center area 14a of the front lens.
