PURPOSE: To provide a signal processor whose function can be easily changed and to which equipment can be easily added without the need for changing the internal wiring and connection by a signal cable, and to provide a signal processing method, a signal processing system, a program, and a medium. CONSTITUTION: A television receiver 100 is provided with: first signal processing means 151, 152, that process an input signal, a discrimination means that discriminates presence of an extended second signal processing means 160, a communication means that wirelessly communicates between the first signal processing means and the extended second signal processing means via wireless communication, and a control means 171 that allows the communication means to execute the wireless communication so as to change processing functions for the input signal when the discrimination means discriminates the presence of the extended second signal processing means. Further, wireless communication is employed as required for internal data transmission of the first and second signal processing means. |
