PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to be capable of determining a frequency of an input power exactly. CONSTITUTION: An interrupt generating part(20) generates interrupt signals of different periods according to a frequency of an input power. A control part(40) generates a pulse signal according to an interrupt signal from the interrupt generating part and counts the pulse signal accumulatively. The control part compares the counted value with a reference value and discriminates a frequency of the input power according to whether the counted value is over the reference value. A low voltage generating part(10) drops the input power and supplies the dropped power to the interrupt generating part, which generates an interrupt signal of a shorter period as a frequency of the dropped power is higher.
