PURPOSE: A continuous valve timing apparatus is provided to reduce frictional force by allowing a housing of the continuous valve timing apparatus to make a line contact with a rotary vane. CONSTITUTION: A continuous valve timing apparatus(100) includes a housing(13) and a rotary vane(15) rotated in the housing controlled by an oil control valve(11). A roller member is installed between the housing and the rotary vane. That is, the roller member is installed at a front end of the rotary vane. Frictional force at a contact portion between the housing and the rotary vane is about 10 to 20% of total frictional force. The roller member reduces frictional force at the contact portion. That is, the housing makes a line contact with the rotary vane due to the roller member, so that frictional force is reduced.
