摘要 |
PURPOSE: To prevent pin hole defect due to nitrogen in steel slab at solidification interfacial surface during continuous casting process by adding a proper amount of titanium under optimal vacuum refining condition. CONSTITUTION: In the refining method of invar steel for the purpose of preventing pin hole due to nitrogen in steel slab at solidification interfacial surface during continuous casting process, the method is characterized in that after a molten steel comprising basic constituents of invar steel is decarburized in vacuum refining furnace by conventional method, titanium is added to the molten steel in an amount of 0.05 to 0.5 wt.% under vacuum condition of 10 to 0.1 mb after aluminum deoxidation process have passed for five minutes; argon bubbling is conducted; and adjustment bubbling is conducted at normal atmospheric condition.
