PURPOSE: A method for checking trouble of a rear oxygen sensor is provided to normally check the trouble of the rear oxygen sensor when the rear oxygen sensor is in a sticking state within a predetermined voltage range. CONSTITUTION: Firstly, it is checked whether or not a monitoring condition for checking the trouble/normal state of a rear oxygen sensor is prepared(110). If the monitoring condition is prepared, it is checked whether or not a traveling condition for checking a sticking of the rear oxygen sensor is prepared(120). If the traveling condition for checking the sticking of the rear oxygen sensor is prepared, a signal of the rear oxygen sensor is measured(130). Then, it is checked whether or not a following condition of the rear oxygen sensor is satisfied(140): maximum value-minimum value is larger than predetermined value. If the condition is satisfied, the rear oxygen sensor is checked as a normal state(150).
