PURPOSE: To properly adjust an optical axis of a headlamp of an optical axis adjusting device of the headlamp for the vehicle by correctly determining an inclining condition of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: Since an impact given on a supersonic wave by a bad noise such as an operation noise of brakes and an engine noise made by the vehicle is great, and there is a possibility that its disordered waveform can not be correctly detected, amendment of an inclining angle of the headlamp 5 is stopped by an ECU7 when an exhaust noise is made by an air brake switch 25 and an exhaust brake switch 26 being turned on for operation.
