DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING FAILURE OF TOUCH SCREEN

PURPOSE: A device and method for diagnosing a failure of a touch screen is provided to reduce a failure when a touch screen is manufactured and repaired by sensing an error operation of a sensor. CONSTITUTION: The first interface unit(10) transmits data of a touch screen to a host computer. A port transistor matrix(15) inputs data in a touch screen. A signal amplifier(13) amplifies an analogue signal from the port transistor matrix(15) into an analogue signal of a predetermined level. An analogue-digital converter(12) converts the analogue signal into a digital signal. An infrared ray LED matrix(16) outputs data in the touch screen. A decoder unit(14) decodes a column and a row of the port transistor matrix(15) and the infrared ray LED matrix(16). The first control unit(11) controls operation states of the first interface unit(10), the analogue-digital converter(12), and the decoder unit(14). The second interface unit(17) receives data of the touch screen being transmitted from the first interface unit(10). A display unit(19) outputs the data transmitted through the second interface unit(17). The second control unit(18) controls the second interface unit(17) and the display unit(19).
