PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus capable of being enhanced in reliability by preventing the ground pieces of garbage from entering the gap between a rotary plate and a swing hammer to lock the swing hammer. SOLUTION: This garbage treatment apparatus is constituted so that a ring- shaped elastic member (conical spring washer) 23 is externally fitted to an attaching pin 12 in a state compressed up and down between the falling-off preventing part 12a of the attaching pin 12 and the swing hammer 5 in the attaching part of the swing hammer 5, and the swing hammer 5 is energized toward the rotary plate 7 by constant energizing force.
