PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a phospholipid derivative or its salt. SOLUTION: This method for producing the phospholipid derivative or its salt comprises reacting a phospholipid with an alcohol compound in the presence of phospholipase D in an aqueous solvent to produce the phospholipid derivative, wherein the phospholipid is reacted at a temperature not lower than the phase transition temperature of the phospholipid under a condition of keeping a weight ratio of the phospholipid to the aqueous solvent in a range of 1:3 to 1:0.5.
