<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer wherein the thickness can be restrained together with a medium pack to be inserted and the external shape of a built-in camera body can be miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: In the case a medium pack 101 with a main ink tank unit 103 disposed on the front side with respect to recording papers 102, is inserted into a video camera body 902, the main ink tank unit 103 is stored at a storage position in a space of reciprocative motion in a carrier 104. At the time of printing by opening a large scale LCD monitor unit 904, the main ink tank unit 103 is elevated from the storage position in the space of reciprocative motion in the carrier 104 so as to be moved to a withdrawal position.
