<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DOPA receptor protein, a nucleic acid encoding the protein, an agonist and an antagonist of the DOPA receptor, an identification method of the agonist and the antagonist, a drug composition using the agonist and the antagonist, and an antibody to the DOPA receptor. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a DOPA receptor protein having the following characteristics: (a) being a G-protein-relating receptor, (b) having a high affinity to DOPA and a non-sensitivity to dopamine, (c) causing strong desensitization when the DOPA is repeatedly applied, (d) having a sensitivity to antagonist dopa cyclohexyl ester, and (e) having a sensitivity to agonist L-threo-DOPS. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
