PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virus hepatitis treatment apparatus in which the dosage of interferon can be reduced as little as possible, so as to cause no side effects and reduce medical expense, and hepatitis virus can be ejected. SOLUTION: The virus hepatitis treatment apparatus is provided with a pair of electrodes 25 located to sandwich a subject 4 so as to position the liver 41 between them, a high frequency oscillation part 22 for supplying high frequency energy to the electrodes 25, a matching part 23 for matching impedance between the electrodes 25 corresponding to a load caused by locating the subject 4 between the electrodes 25, a characteristic change measuring part 6 for measuring a characteristic change in the tissues of the liver 41, and a heating control part 3 for controlling heating to the subject by a high frequency power applied between the electrodes so that a characteristic value measured by the characteristic change measuring part 6 does not exceed a prescribed change value with a preset reference characteristic value as a reference.
