PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support bar for use with plumbing equipment such as a kitchen or sink and being easy to use whether or not the user rests on a handrail body during work. SOLUTION: The support bar comprises a handrail body 2 mounted on the forward edge of a worktop 1 of a kitchen or sink, etc., or on the forward edge of a cabinet 3 below the worktop, and a rest member 4 which is longitudinally movable relative to the handrail body 2. By moving or not moving the rest member 4, the serviceability of the support bar is maintained whether or not the user rests on the handrail body 2 during work. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
