PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic conveyance apparatus for master winding roll, capable of carrying paper to be wound, without causing vibration so as to avoid generation of slackness in the paper to be wound and to restrain an impact load to a minimum, in the automatic conveyance apparatus for the master winding roll which automatically carries the master winding roll wound by a reel device to an unwinder of a winder device. SOLUTION: On a conveyance rail from a reel rail to an unwinder rail, a gradient inclining toward the winder device is provided and a plurality of stoppers are arranged, and on the unwinder rail, a shock absorbing device which receives and stops the master winding roll. Therefore, the master roll, of which the traveling and stopping is controlled by a stopper, is automatically carried to the unwinder rail along the inclination of the conveyance rail, and an impact is completely absorbed even in the unwinder rail without generating a vertical impact load in the process of the conveyance.
