PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange the volume of ink drops being ejected from respective nozzles by absorbing variation of the actuator elements. SOLUTION: Actuators of respective channels of an ink jet head 14 are capacitive because they are composed of piezoelectric elements and denoted by C1-Cn. The C1-Cn of respective channels are connected in parallel with analog switches SW1-SWn, respectively. The analog switches SW1-SWn drive respective channels in response to a driving signal. While looking up a table setting driving of the analog switches SW1-SWn, an ON resistance regulation circuit 95 drives the analog switches SW1-SWn selectively for each channel. Consequently, a time constant depending on the capacity of an actuator of each channel and the combined impedance of the analog switches SW1-SWn can be set variously. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
