<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt tightening device improved in both comfort and safety. <P>SOLUTION: In this tightening device, a counter spring 10 capable of being adjusted by an electric motor 13 and having a spring receiver apart from a seat belt 1 is disposed in parallel to a winding spring 9, and a normally open coupling 14 is disposed between the electric motor 13 and a winding device 8. The electric motor 13 can be reversibly moved between two output ranges, and the coupling 14 is automatically closed when the electric motor 13 changes over to a high output state to operate in an operation direction for applying reversible belt fastening. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
