PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool that is attached to or detached from a machine tool similarly to a usual tool, can be driven or operated without connecting to an external power supply or the like, and is miniaturized so as to allow automatic tool exchange. SOLUTION: This tool 60 is attached to or detached from the machine tool and machines a workpiece. The tool comprises a power generator 70 for generating power with energy of compressed air CA supplied from the outside, an electric motor 80 driven by the power generated by the power generator 70, and a cutting tool 100 that is driven by the electric motor 80 and cuts the workpiece.
