FUSION PROTEIN HAVING INCREASED IN VIVO ACTIVITY OF ERYTHROPOIETIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fusion protein having increased in vivo activity of human erythropoietin.

SOLUTION: The fusion protein is produced by fusing the carboxy-terminal peptide of thrombopoietin (TPO) to the carboxy terminal of human erythropoietin (EPO). The fused protein has increased sugar chain content and remarkably increased half life in vivo while keeping the characteristic activity of erythropoietin as it is and is free from the induction of antigenicity in the application to the body.
