PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detecting device which detects a specified gas composition in atmospheric gas in a plurality of detection areas of a ship. SOLUTION: This gas detecting device is provided with a gas detector 16 which sucks and detects atmosphere gas in a ballast tank and an ejector 12 which sucks the atmosphere gas by using a second gas connecting pipe 22 merged into a first gas connecting tube 21 interposed between an edge part of a fixed sampling piping communicated with each ballast tank and the gas detector 16.
