PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To upgrade the dimensional precision of a cog and reduce a manufacturing cost, in a method for vulcanization-molding the double-side cogged belt with cogs formed on both sides of a belt. SOLUTION: A belt intermediate 3 is thermally pressurized by an inner mold 2 with projecting strips formed at a specified pitch in the peripheral direction and an outer mold 5 with a plurality of mold pieces 6, 6... gathered together in the peripheral direction and thus the double-side cogged belt is molded. In addition, the mold assembly is constituted in such a way that when the outer mold 5 is clamped, the mold pieces 6, 6... are simultaneously gathered together by means of an almost cylindrical tapered sleeve 9. On the other hand, when the outer mold 5 is opened, each mold piece 6, 6... is simultaneously set apart from each other by scroll cam mechanisms 8, 66 and 68. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
