PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body structure capable of surely protecting the knees of a passenger without increasing a cost and without providing a design restriction to an instrument panel. SOLUTION: Knee load supporting parts 10, 12, 20, and 22 extending in the vertical direction of a vehicle are provided in a reinforcement 2 laterally extending to reinforce the instrument panel 1 and fixed to a body frame at both ends. Fragile parts 16, 17, 18, and 26 are provided in the generally horizontal parts 14a and 14b of the reinforcement extending from the knee load supporting parts forward of the vehicle.
