PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper tube for a core for a film and a sheet easily shortened in a disposal and causing no trouble in winding the film and the sheet. SOLUTION: This paper tube for the core is characterized in that the paper tube of 35-42 mm in the outer diameter and 1-1.5 mm in the thickness has notches no less than two and no more than 6 in, at least, one part along its circumference, each notch has the lateral width of 0.1-1 mm, a connecting part of an adjoining notch to a notch is connected from the outer circumferential surface to the internal circumferential surface of the paper tube, and the circumferential length of the connecting part is 1.5-4 mm.
