<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a U-shaped seal with excellent heat resisting and sealing capability, capable of preventing rotation together with the rotation shaft, and capable of the mass production with fewer production processes and with reduced material loss and at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The U-shaped seal is made of polyamide resin with a recessed groove 4. The thickness of corner parts 12 and 13 at both ends of the bottom 4a of the recessed groove 4 is larger than the thickness T<SB>6</SB>and T<SB>7</SB>of inner and outer lip parts 6 and 7. The height of the outer lip part 7 is set larger than the height of the inner lip part 6, and the pressure receiving area in the outer lip part 7 is larger than in the inner lip part 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
