LIQUID CRYSTAL BACKLIGHT DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal backlight device which is miniaturized and lightweight and has high luminosity and long life and wherein the reduction of screen luminosity of radiation light associated with the change of operating time can be prevented.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal backlight device is provided with a cold cathode luminescent tube 1 provided with a glass tube 8 having ≤3 mm outside diameter thereof, a metal oxide doped therein and a metal oxidized film 9 formed on the inner surface thereof and having ≥0.2 W/cm2tube wall load and a light guide plate 2 consisting of transparent plastics which at least one of an inorganic compound and an organic compound is doped in or stuck to and having ≤4.5 mm maximum thickness and the light guide plate 2 is disposed close to the cold cathode luminescent lamp 1.
