<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitting and receiving system, in which a data receiver incorporates a clock function, and the data receiver is capable of specifying the data for correcting the clock at the transmitting side. <P>SOLUTION: In this data transmitting and receiving system, data are delivered from a data transmitter 120 by a communication satellite, and the delivered data are received by the data receiver 121. The data transmitter delivers a program table 101P describing a clock correction file name, and delivers the clock correction file describing a clock error detecting time of a clock 111C of the data receiver.
