PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool an electric motor within a driver for a hybrid vehicle with only the partial change of the form of a rotor or thereabouts without the necessity for surplus parts or seals. SOLUTION: Lubricant, which has passed to bearing members 16 and 17 as shown by an arrowαafter it has flowed out via a diametrical lubricant hole from the hollow in a rotor shaft 8, is supplied to the inside periphery of the rotor 9. Even if this lubricant receives centrifugal force accompanying the rotation of the rotor 9, it stops within oil sumps 27 and 28 demarcated inside the rotor by dams 23 and 24, and the subsequent lubricant within the oil sumps 27 and 28 is directed to an electromagnetic coil 11 as shown by an arrowβ, passing through lubricant paths 29 and 30 set in the rotor 9 (in details, end plates 25 and 26), thus cooling the electromagnetic coil 11 by oil. Accordingly, the cooling of the electric motor 7 (the electromagnetic coil 11) can be performed with only the partial change of the form (the bore change of the end plates 25 and 26) or thereabouts of the rotor 9 (end plates 25 and 26) without needing surplus parts or surplus seals.
