<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical gas sensor capable of measuring the concentration of a specific gas type. <P>SOLUTION: The electrochemical gas sensor is constituted so that the interior of a filter film 13A having a smaller void fraction than a porous film 13B must be impregnated with a gas in the enlarging direction of the film in order to allow the gas to arrive at an operating electrode 31.
