PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration apparatus that can correct an optional color in a way of not causing the correction effect to other colors. SOLUTION: A gray gradation path output section 2 transfers gray gradation patch data produced by a gray gradation patch generating section 1 to a printer 3, which prints out a gray gradation patch print 4. A colorimetric unit 5 measures the color of the print 4, and a gray gradation colorimetric section 6 gives the result to a multi-dimensional LUT adjustment section 7. The multi- dimensional LUT adjustment section 7 first obtains a sensitivity characteristic matrix denoting a rate of a change in each element of a measurement value color space with respect to a change in each element in an output color space, then obtains a difference between measured data and base data in an initial state of the multi-dimensional LUT on the basis of a cross-reference between the gray gradation patch data and colorimetric data of the patch to obtain a change in the colorimetric value in the color space. The multi-dimensional LUT adjustment section 7 obtains grating point data in the output color space on the basis of the change amount and the sensitivity characteristic matrix to correct the multi-dimensional LUT.
