PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device provided with an imaging lens and an image pickup device that is configured such that the image pickup device is interchangeable, focus adjustment or the like of the interchanged image pickup device is facilitated, an image suitable for a purpose in use can be recorded by the image pickup device depending on the purpose in use with high accuracy and a simple method and to provide a focus adjustment method for the imaging device. SOLUTION: The imaging device is provided with: an image pickup device mount means; an image pickup device attachment/detachment detecting means; a storage means storing focus adjustment data of an imaging lens; and a correction data setting means detecting a change in a position on an optical axis of the imaging lens to set focus correction data. When the image pickup device attachment/detachment detecting means detects the attachment/detachment of the image pickup device, the focus adjustment data stored in the storage means are corrected on the basis of the focus correction data set by the correction data setting means.
