PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial connector with which a calking process in connector assembling can be dispensed by performing in one structure fixing of a shell and an insulator to be pressed into it and mounting and fixing of an assembled connector to a chassis. SOLUTION: With the coaxial connector provided with an insulator 6 made of an insulation material with a connection contact 7 arranged and a shell 1 made of a conductive material having a mounting flange 4 around its outer periphery for a chassis 12 or the like and into which the insulator 6 is inserted with the insulated status of the contact 7 kept, grooves 5, 9 reaching the insulator 6 inside through the shell 1 are formed on the outer periphery of the shell 1 at a position where mounted objects such as the flange 4 and the chassis 12 or the like are pinched. By inserting a mounting piece by way of a ground fitting 10 or the like into the groove 5, 9 communicating with the shell 1 and the insulator 6, the shell 1 and the insulator 6 held inside it are mechanically coupled with the mounting piece and, at the same time, the shell 1 is fixed at the position for the mounted objects such as the chassis 12 or the like with the flange 4 and the mounting piece.
