PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve deformation suppression of a trunnion and a stopper function of a roller bearing with a cage when an overload acts, in a toroidal continuously variable transmission having a power roller support structure for laterally parallelably supporting a power roller in a power roller housing recess in a trunnion. SOLUTION: The power roller support structure laterally parallelably supports the power roller 10, 11 in the power roller housing recess 30 in the trunnion 14. In a left and a right position of each of two inclined surfaces 30c formed at corners where a supporting plane 30a and perpendicular surfaces 30b cross, the power roller housing recess 30 has projections 30d projecting from the inclined surface 30c in regions without interference with the power roller 10, 11 parallelling laterally.
