NEGATIVE ION GENERATOR FOR VEHICLES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an negative ion generator for vehicles which is reduced in the height of the unit body and can be installed on the vehicles.

SOLUTION: A low voltage circuit part 1a made of a power supply circuit and an oscillating circuit or the like and a high voltage generating circuit part 1c made of a boosting circuit and a rectification smoothing circuit are formed on the substrate 1, and an ion electrode 1b which is a high voltage electrode radiating electrons is provided. The high voltage generating circuit is covered by an insulating mold 3. The ion electrode is arranged on the substrate in the position shifted in the lateral direction from the insulating mold 3. Thereby, compared with the conventional method of providing the ion electrode on top of the insulating mold 3, the height of the unit body of the negative ion generator can be reduced.
