PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new cleaning method and an apparatus capable of efficiently cleaning the inside diameter of an orifice, without having to remove the orifice from a furnace body to the outside. SOLUTION: A guide tube 5, having a guide hole for guiding an elastic pin 11 for cleaning, is inserted in a furnace chamber 2 of the furnace body 1 housing the orifice 3. The elastic pin 11 for cleaning is inserted in the guide hole 6 from the upper end of a guide tube 5 with the guide hole. The elastic pin 11 for cleaning is pressed in and is passed through the guide hole 6 by a pressing rod 12 and is further pressed in, rubbed against and inserted in the diameter 4 of the orifice 3.
