<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having good fluidity, heat resistance, durability and preservation stability and less liable to cause shortening of the service life of a developer due to spending of a carrier spent (carrier contamination) by the toner and shortening of the service life of a photoreceptor due to filming of the photoreceptor with the toner. <P>SOLUTION: In the toner consisting essentially of a fixing resin and a wax, the fixing resin contains a vinyl copolymer obtained by polymerization in the presence of a polyethylene wax having <10 mPa.s melt viscosity at 140°C as at least a constituent component, the wax is a polyethylene wax containing wax having≥10 mP.s melt viscosity at 140°C and a penetration of≤2 as at least a constituent component, and the fusion beginning temperature (Tfb) of the toner has the relation of Tfb>Tmp with a melting point (Tmp) corresponding to the highest value of endothermic peaks belonging to the wax on an absorbed heat quantity curve in heating in the DSC curve of the toner measured with a differential scanning calorimeter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
