PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To share a common device among two or more hosts in conformity with a specification applied in case only one host is used, with respect to a communication mediating device mounted on a communication path between two or more hosts and the common device performing communication with two or more hosts, for mediating the communication between each of two or more hosts and the device. SOLUTION: In case when the communication with the common device is required from another host during the communication of one of two or more host and the common device, this communication mediating device is provided with a pseudo-device for the common device to respond to the other host that the common device is now in operation, and the communication demand is not acceptable.
